Okan Gökgöz

Okan Gökgöz explores the relationship between material, light and perception through contemporary objects that exist between art, design and spatial experience.

His work investigates how everyday forms can be transformed into moments of contemplation — where function becomes a starting point for a deeper exploration of atmosphere, emotion and visual experience. Through the interaction of structured surfaces, light and colour, Gökgöz creates objects that continuously evolve depending on their surroundings and the presence of the viewer.

With Chromashift I, the artist examines colour as a dynamic phenomenon rather than a fixed characteristic. The work invites a dialogue between the physical qualities of the object and the subjective experience of perception, revealing new expressions through changing light conditions.

For Gökgöz, the object is not merely something to be used or observed, but something to be encountered. Each piece becomes a unique presence within a space, a meeting point between craftsmanship, artistic research and sensory experience.
