Dedicated to those who are creating their environment. Inspired by stories from the road traveler spirit, KULA was founded in 2018 between Istanbul and Berlin. KULA offers an alternative vision of the retail industry.

We choose design from local manufacturers, and in our atelier in Berlin we produce our concrete items. High quality, exceptional novelities that work well and are durable.

We have the vision that turns mountains into possibilities that make the impossible possible. On the way to the top of the mountain, we are looking for the inner power to keep going on.

Our Mission

The craft was passed on to the next generation through generations. In our creations we want to honor craftsmanship and work with tradition. Craft as it once was, with the ideas of today.

The Founders

Okan Gökgöz and Jane Katharina di Renzo are two visionary.

“We want to create an environment with you together which create a better world. As we believe just the power in community can change something in good.”

Okan is founder of Lemur Store, concept store in the heart of Istanbul,Turkey. Jane founded “Don’t Wait” a consulted and curated company connecting people from various disciplines and countries.

Both, with their Do&Visionary Mentality they founded KULABERLIN on a road trip from Berlin to Istanbul. The moment when they visited handcrafters and saw the beauty of details, they began to dream to bring this beauty to your home.

Okan and Jane realized that Berlin lacked a place which would bring together the best of the world of interior design, of household goods with welcome food areas.

Sustainability

Sustainable consumption and production is about promoting resource and energy efficiency, sustainable infrastructure, green and decent jobs and a better quality of life for all. Its reduce future economic, environmental and social costs, strengthen economic competitiveness and reduce poverty.

For our production of fabrics we are paying european prices to our producers.

Ecological Responsibility

The colors we are using for our products are natural pigments. All fabrics we are using are cotton, silk and wool. We try to give our best to be in personal contact with farmers and producers.

Important for us is always the personal contact.

Packaging

We are working with recycled packaging without plastic. Either we are using wood for the lamp boxes or natural paper. Our Flyer and Sticker are organic paper, and ecological colors.
